We're Rachel and Marie.

When we started managing properties, we realized we were in over our heads. We dealt with everything from broken pipes to bad tenants who damaged our properties.

We started Landlady Boss to help other women who want to work from home as landladies. We offer practical advice and step-by-step instructions to help you succeed in property management—without having to learn everything the hard way.

Marie

Marie is an active Real Estate Investor and enjoys flipping older houses and building up her rental property portfolio. She manages a team of property flippers and runs her own property management company that includes commercial and residential properties. She had a BS in Food Science and Nutrition and loves all things food, especially cooking for her five children. Marie has an incredible eye for finding good investments and making them profitable. She is willing to show you where to look, what to do, and how to do it right the first time!

Rachel

Rachel is the founder of Sakkara Properties, LLC a property management and development company, and is a licensed Realtor in Idaho. She has over 27 years of experience designing, building, managing, and owning properties. One of her favorite parts of her job is creating beautiful and highly functional spaces and overseeing their construction. When she couldn't find a property management company that was responsive enough and concerned with the details, she created her own. Rachel has managed hundreds of doors, currently lives in Bulgaria managing remotely, and is willing to give all her secrets away.

FIND OUT HOW TO SPOT A GOOD INVESTMENT

Small Single Family

Don't let a smaller home dissuade you. These rent very easily and are a wonderful addition to any real estate rental portfolio. Low upkeep and great energy efficiency are key in these smaller homes. Many prefer these to apartment living.

Multi-Unit Property

Keep an eye out for multi-unit properties. We bought this one because the owner was having financial difficulties. It is a tri-plex which has great cash flow potential.

Flipping Success

This was one of our successful flips. We bought at an optimal price but it needed some updates. Notice the new siding and landscape beds. It only took 3 days to get it under contract! Knowing what to fix is priceless on a flip.
